The second annual Fall in the 4th Ward Tour of Homes is this Sunday, September 15, from noon until 5 p.m. The tour features ten homes including several units in Studioplex, a renovated shotgun home, a unit in the original Lime Cola Bottling Company building, an English-style cottage and gardens and an Earthcraft modern home. The tour is self-guided and tickets can be purchased online or at the Old Water Tower Park, located at Irwin and Krog Streets, on the day of the event. Tour proceeds will benefit neighborhood organizations including Operation P.E.A.C.E., Hope Hill Elementary and Intown Academy, along with beautification projects in the Old Fourth Ward.
Epic Development is a tour partner and continues to support the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. We are currently planning four new homes, including a modern design home that will be located at 582 Morgan Street. This home will feature four bedrooms and three bathrooms with a guest bedroom and full bath on the main level. The open floor plan features a modern kitchen with custom cabinetry, stone countertops, stainless steel appliances and an island. The kitchen overlooks the family room, which is complete with a fireplace, and the oversized rear deck. There is also a formal dining room on the main level.
The third floor features two secondary bedrooms, a hall bathroom, laundry room and the master suite. The master bathroom features double vanities and an oversized shower with double shower heads and a frameless glass enclosure.
The home has a two car drive-under garage with an unfinished bonus room. It is currently in the permitting phase and construction should start late this fall with a spring 2014 move in.
